Boy Scouts of America Prepared for Life

Boy Scout Troop 229

The roots of Troop 229 go back to Colmar Troop 1 which was organized in 1935. Our current home, the Walnut Street Cabin began construction in 1949. We are chartered by the Neshaminy Creek foundation and we hold an annual creek cleanup to support them.

What is scouting

“Scouting is a game with a purpose.” That’s how Robert S.S. Baden-Powell described his idea for “helping a rising generation, of whatever class or creed, become good citizens at home and throughout the world.”

About

Troop 229 is boy led and adult guided. We strive to exemplify the tenets of the Scout Law and Scout Oath, while having loads of fun and helping out in our community.

We meet at the Walnut Street Cabin in Colmar, PA, Thursday nights at 7pm.
